Bristol Lights Festival 2026
This event is one of the biggest in the Bristol events calender, and is designed to 'brighten up' some of the darkest night in winter.
On the lead up to the event, I:
I followed the trail of light installations throughout the city on opening night (with my journey on foot starting at 5.30pm, just after an 8am to 4pm shift).
One of the greatest challenges was balancing visiting all 10 installations, vox popping visitors about the experience, and uploading reels of each installation all before they closed at 9.30pm.
I was able to visit 9 of the installations, only missing the one which was a returning structure from previous editions of Bristol Lights Festival. I was able to create 10 reels on the night, edit 3 further reels the next day and vox pop 6 visitors.
Below is the coverage of the night.
